THEBENDS v0.5 (web-version) - HOW TO USE 1) Load an image - Use the "Image file" picker in Source. - Recommended for smooth performance: start with medium-sized images. 2) Pick a processing format - Choose a format family and variant (bit depth) in Source. - Different formats produce different glitch behavior. 3) Build a chain - In Operation Editor, pick an op and set parameters. - Click "Add to chain". - Add more steps if needed, or use "Build random chain". 4) Apply - Click "Apply chain to current". - Use Undo/Redo to iterate. 5) Optional targeting - Enable "Chunk bend" to bend only part of the file data. - In Generation mode, use region selection (rect/polygon) to bend only part of the image. 6) Generation mode (fast exploration) - Click the fullscreen button on Current preview. - Use: - Right arrow: next generation - Left arrow: undo - Mouse wheel: zoom - Space + drag: pan 7) Export - Export Settings: - Optional custom export name - Optional export folder picker - Export options: - Download Bent Format - Download PNG (lossless) - Download Image (smaller) - Download ZIP + metadata - A `.log.txt` is exported alongside image exports. Tips - Keep one source image and compare multiple processing formats. - Use fixed seeds when you want repeatable results. - Use small chains first, then increase complexity.
