Tape no. 6 & Tape no. 9

Tape no. 6 is the cassette master of a 2023 project that was originally called mchncl fcs. It is an experimental ambient/dark ambient piece where tracks flow into each other.

I found the tape again in rough condition, but that degradation added to the darker atmosphere, so I chose to release it in that state. Tape no. 9 is the same tape played backwards on a modified JVC KD-V11, creating a reversed counterpart with a different narrative feel.

The idea is not necessarily to always listen to both back-to-back. They are two perspectives of the same source, and you can pick one depending on mood.

I still have the original digital files for mchncl fcs, so I plan to release a clean digital version later as well.
